31/07/05 - ManorMania opens today!
After months of work on the design of the site and content included in the site, ManorMania, version 2 has finally opened to the internet. You may be wondering what was version 1, but it was not around for long, so it is unlikely that you would know of it. As version 1 was made to accompany the original forum "let's Talk Drayton," it was lacking in content and photos of our own etc. This was a poor start to ManorMania's life as the forum was the main interest and the site was only really around to encourage more members to join the forum. After around about a month, this became apparent and work began on a new site, along with this came a new forum (MMF, or Manor Mania Forums), this time to accompany the site. |
| In version 2 we bring you a full guide to the park including all the rides, a vast amount of our own photos and numerous extra features. This includes the features section and park history section (both will be added to in the future) and all the general park info you would wish to know before you visit (eg. prices etc). The website design has gone through many different features and faults before the current one, so we hope you enjoy looking around. If there are any problems you have come across, please feel free to e-mail it to us at staff@manormania.co.uk. Enjoy! |
31/07/05 - ManorMania Forums re-open
Following the opening of the site, the new ManorMania Forums (MMF) opened. After the previous forum was bombarded with adverts we felt it was best to move the forum to a new server so our users can enjoy their time on the forums more. The new forums can be found here.

31/07/05 - Restaurant Catches Fire
In the late hours of Tuesday the 28th of July, ManorMania can now reveal the Fish and Chips restaurant of Ariel Park caught fire. It is said an irresponsible worker left an oven on whilst leaving Drayton Manor, later causing it to ignite the building. The extent of the damage is said to be potentially serious, and parts of the enclosure (including the roof) will have to be rebuilt. Park staff are currently clearing debris from the building and surrounding areas, and the park plan to rebuild the areas badly effected in the next month. It is unknown whether the restaurant will reopen this season, but unfortunately all signs are saying it will be closed throughout 2005, and will make a comeback in the 2006 season.
